The project

PALMA at Nexton.

A gathering place on five acres of pond frontage, in the part of the Charleston region that is moving fastest.

PALMA is designed as Nexton's gathering place: a two storey office building, a food hall with a curated collection of vendors and self pour taps, an event venue for the region's weddings and corporate calendar, and retail at the corner, all arranged around the water. Sitework is complete and vertical construction follows. Islamont owns the land, is delivering the project, and will operate the hall and the venue itself.

Islamont holds and operates in Charleston as well as in Orlando. On King Street in the downtown, the firm owns a restored building of boutique offices above ground floor retail: exposed brick, heart pine floors, glass front suites and a skylit top level.

PALMA sits in Nexton, in the same region. We are not arriving in the Lowcountry in order to build it. We are already here, with buildings to run and tenants to answer to.
